Material and Memory was my effort to recapture the lost memory of my Grandfather through a picture. He is holding the hand of my mother. Simple and happy. I never got to know my grandfather as he passed away from cancer before I was born. Material and Memory was like an act of meditation to me. I was able to bring him out of his death bed and look at his last belongings. The watch, the shoelaces, the buttons... all the material left from him. It was my first experience with stop motion. I used Dragon Frame software to animate.
