"A Short Study of... " is a result of a desire to engage more analytically with the current state of the archive, the concept that expanded beyond the classical means and in this film, was approached through the lenses of new media and non-narrative storytelling.
For 19th-century historians and lawmakers, the archive stood at its core as an institution that made it possible to access "frozen" sections of past time. In that period, the archive could not be in motion or construct motion. However, the technological developments in the 20th century have inevitably pushed the archive to encounter the question of mobility, both practically and conceptually.
